You need accurate pediatric dose for oral administration of drugs ?

Blistigel® is a medical device allowing oral administration of accurate pediatric doses of drugs using adult forms of tablets and capsules “Blistigel®” and “Drug’n Milk®” are innovative medical devices consisting of multi compartment sachets. Each compartment of the sachet being linked to the other by a frangible seal.

In Blistigel®, one compartment contains an aqueous solvent destinated to dissolve or suspend the drug to be administered. Another compartment is destinated to receive a tablet at adult dose. The tablet has first to be crushed, then by rupture of the frangible seal, the powder obtained is mixed with the aqueous solvent until an homogeneous suspension is contained into the sachet. Then using a graduated syringe, the volume of suspension corresponding to a pediatric dose can be withdrawn from the sachet, allowing accurate dose administration of the drug.

This device has been designed to facilitate the pediatric oral administration of drugs in tropical conditions using usual tablets at adult dose.

In “Drug’n Milk®” the sachet has 3 compartments allowing administration of drugs suspended in milk instead of in an aqueous solvent. In “Drug’n Milk®”, one compartment contains a powder milk, a second compartment contains the water to reconstitute the milk.
